Concrete pavers are currently one of the most popular choices of people. This popularity is mainly due to the flexibility of concrete. Concrete pavers come at a multitude of shapes and sizes and even colors, so you can certainly find one that suits whatever design you’ve conjured up in your head.

Brick pavers, on the other hand, can cost you up to fifteen dollars per square foot. But the price, despite its being higher than that of concrete pavers, is quite reasonable. Stone pavers are arguably the most expensive materials available. This is because they are much harder to come by than bricks and concrete. Whereas bricks and concrete can be manufactured, stone pavers can only be made by cutting up and slicing the quarry stones into precise pieces. These stone slabs can cost you up to 30 dollars per square foot, but if you’re adamant at getting these stones, then they’ll surely be worth it.

But the cost of the materials isn’t the only cost that you will have to cover. There’s also the cost of installation. If you’re particularly talented at landscaping and are especially patient, you can actually lay these pavers out yourself and save yourself a hefty amount of money. But for almost everyone else, professional help is the only way to go. The price varies, depending on the company and the difficulty of the installation.

Also, you’ll have to consider the maintenance costs. There are some pavers that, though cheap at first, will cost you a lot in maintenance, like cement, for example. Cement cracks in high temperatures and are quite difficult to clean when stained.
